Staybridge Suites Toledo - Maumee by IHG

The hotel is still under construction so there was a few things that didn't go right, having to take the stairs to the 4th floor because the elevator could not be used while the contractors were laying tile in front of it, the coffee was ice cold at 430am. But the room was great. I didn't have a view but I don't care. It's across from Barnes and Nobles. And there is a great Bar, beer barrel pizza, that has great food.

We left our cooler in our fridge after leaving for our vacation to New York City, and all we had to do was call them, send them a shipping label and pay for it! They didn't just throw it away like other hotels! The breakfast was AWESOME, filled us up! The hotel is massive! The couches and beds are comfy, a pretty good sized kitchen too! I highly recommend this hotel! The road we took it was definitely different compared to our regular driving in Iowa.

We typically stay here during our roadtrips and we’ve always had a good experience. Unfortunately this time we ran in to the winter storm and couldn’t make it all the way through. Luckily the customer service here is excellent. Amanda was able to cancel our reservation due to the weather with no issues and lots of well wishes for safe travels as we navigated to a different destination. For that alone, we’ll continue to stay here whenever we’re passing through!

We stayed on a Sunday night in mid-April 2025. Check-in went smoothly and they mentioned that the rooms were getting renovated at the time. But it was only on the 4th floor currently and that it was the king suites and not the 2 Queen rooms. There is no parking in the front. Parking is on the sides or in the back. There is construction equipment parked int he back as well. We were in room 101 which is right by the back door and also the pool. They had the annoying small little airport luggage carts. We used the carts to move in but in the morning we just walked our bags out as it wasn't worth the effort. The pool is super bright and modern looking. No one was there the whole time we visited. The gym was also nice and laundry room was large with chairs and folding tables. There is also a nice court yard area in the middle with fire pit and grills and pavilion. It is in the middle so everyone is staring at you but still very nice area. We saw 1 person out there just sitting there with a beer relaxing. The breakfast area was also nice nice and fancy. They had waffle makers as well but the scones were definitely old because we saw the exact same ones the night before. There is a soda machine but that must be for larger party conferences or meetings because it wasn't working for breakfast. There was a large meal and snack collection at the market place. The room itself was nice. We liked that there was a separate bedroom with the 2 beds and the sofa bed in other room. Having 2 TVs is always great so we can watch something other than the kids. Also the kitchen was nice having a full size fridge with ice maker that made ice VERY VERY slowly. We turned it in when we got into the room. By the time we left in the morning there were maybe a 15-20 ice cubes total. The double burner electric cooktop was nice to have and a actual kitchen sized sink. There was also a dishwasher but we did not use. The bathroom sink was missing a aerator or needed it replaced cause the water pressure was insane and shooting water out at anyone who used it. The shower head was meh but there was plenty of hot water. I was the shower head had the same water pressure as the bathroom sink. Mall closed earlier on Sundays so we weren't able to walk over and do some shopping after we arrived which was a bummer. But the kids spent most of their time in the pool anyways. We would definitely visit again if we were in the area. The price was similar to others in the area and it also came with a full kitchen. Pleasantly surprised by the amenities.

We had a 10th bday sleepover in the suite and were very clean! The staff were super nice and accommodating. Pool was clean and comfortable! I know they’re updating with that being said bring a fire stick for tv. I definitely would stay again.

Gotta say this would be a 5 star rating but the breakfast does lack a bit here in general. Clean, decent sized rooms and it's very quiet since nothing around is open late. Staff has also been super friendly at check in.

i LOVE this staybridge! i’ve stayed here a few times when visiting toledo and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. my only complaint was we found a tick one time, probably due to them being pet friendly. the rooms are very nice and big. the pool is a good size. they are doing construction still but i don’t mind because it’s not in my way.
